Daniel Trauth’s lecture first explains the basics of blockchain technology and shows its advantages. It also explains why blockchain can also be fun. He then introduces the Blockchain.NRW ecosystem and presents the blockchain real laboratory in Cologne-Hürth as the leading Web3 incubator. Three use cases will be presented as part of the presentation. The first use case deals with the application of non-fungible tokens (NFT) at the logistics company Alfred Talke from Hürth. In doing so, he will explain how the use of NFTs protects the environment, people and the product better than the status quo.

The second use case deals with the tokenization of CO2 savings and shows how this can change consumption. It becomes clear how blockchain technology makes it possible to assess and monetize CO2 savings for the first time. The third use case deals with the question of how breweries like the MetaBrewSociety in Munich can achieve new incentives and increased sales on Web3. Here, too, the tokenization of real assets will play a central role.

Finally, he will summarize the most important findings and is available for questions and live demonstrations.

About the speaker: At Blockchain.NRW and in the Blockchain real laboratory, Daniel Trauth is committed to a better and more sustainable future through the digital transformation of the status quo using Web3 technologies and through the development of digital disruptions. As a speaker and coach, he accompanies those interested in blockchain on their way to their own new business model, to a sustainable product and to innovative transformation.
