Kickstart Accelerator 2016

General:

In 2016 Kickstart will focus on innovation areas that Switzerland shows a competitive advantage in: Food, Smart and Connected Machines, FinTech, Future & Emerging Technologies. All verticals will be running at the same time from the end of August until the beginning of November 2016. Startups from the 4 different verticals will be working in the same office space enabling them to benefit from interdisciplinary exchanges going beyond their vertical. The program culminates in Demo Day where each team presents to investors, corporate leaders and the media.

Timeline Acceleration Phase:

Week commencing 15.8.2016 – Move to Zurich and get settled in

• 22.08.2016 – Kick-off day
• 25.08.2016 – Official Opening Reception, Dinner & Party
• 21.09.2016 – Mid-term Demo Day
• 04.11.2016 – Pitch your company at Demo Day, Closing Dinner & Party

About Kickstart:

Kickstart is the most ambitious Swiss startup program to date. Never before has Switzerland or Europe had a multi-corporate and equity-free accelerator program welcoming over 60 founders from around the world. Kickstart – the Swiss Accelerator is a fast-track gateway for entrepreneurs from near and far to access the Swiss innovation ecosystem.

Our 11-week program is open to the best international early-stage startups with a promising business idea within our 4 verticals: Food, Smart & Connected Machines, FinTech and Future & Emerging Technologies. For 11 weeks selected founders and their teams live and work in Zurich, Switzerland. We provide founders with up to 25’000 Swiss francs in prize money, a monthly founder stipend, mentoring, a shared office space and fast-track access to relevant industry partners and the Swiss startup ecosystem. The program culminates in Demo Day where each team presents to investors, corporate leaders and the media.
