Blockchain Documentary: The Interview Phase Is Complete

Right after FinTech Made in Switzerland, I started my new documentary film The Blockchain and Us. From December to February, I conducted many fascinating conversations with some of the movers and shakers in the global blockchain ecosystem. They told me about their views and hopes for blockchain but also discussed the challenges and roadblocks on the way to its adoption.

Twenty interviews took place with software developers, cryptologists, researchers, entrepreneurs, consultants, VCs, authors, politicians, and futurists from the United States, Canada, Switzerland, the UK, and Australia. Many thanks to all who participated, brainstormed, and helped make this happen!

With a topic as wide and deep as this, the interview phase could go on forever, but my goal is to complete this film by the end of March. Sorry for this tight deadline; some of the conversations I planned to record simply weren’t possible in this short time. I look forward to continuing the discussion with all of you without the camera rolling as well. And of course, there will be future projects of mine about technology, the economy and society.

Next Steps

Additional post production of interviews, selecting the best parts and editing first drafts of the documentary are well under way. The final film will be about 30 minutes long, and it will stream online starting late March/early April. I will announce the details as soon as the publication date draws near.
