The team of Algorand has signed a deal to become the official blockchain partner of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. It will also be the partner of the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Algorand will help global football governing body FIFA develop its digital strategy, including an official blockchain-enabled wallet solution. The news was announced via Twitter, and also on the FIFA website.
